Level 8 Higher Diploma in Food Science and Technology
This Springboard funded course starts in January and is flexibly designed to suit the needs of those in employment. Lectures are a blend of online, distance and 2 Saturdays per month in Dublin or Cork.
With the continued growth of the Food and Beverage Industry in Ireland, this programme is suitable for those who wish to upskill to build a career in the Food and Beverage. Our Level 8 Higher Diploma in Food Science and Technology will give you all that you need to succeed.
Our courses are delivered by lecturers with real, relevant industry experience. Many hold - or have held – high-level roles in multinational companies, both in Ireland and globally. They’ll provide you with a deeper understanding of your subject in practical terms, as well as developing your skills in areas such as communication, management and leadership.
This Level 8 programme combines a blend of food science and manufacturing modules giving graduates an in-depth knowledge of Food Microbiology, Food Processing Operations, Food Hygiene and Contamination Control, HACCP, Food Quality Systems and Regulatory Control, Food Product Innovation and Development, Food Formulations and Lean Six Sigma, Accredited by TUD - Tallaght Campus, this 9 month course is delivered by experienced lecturers from academia and industry.
This 3-semester programme involves online lectures two evenings per week and two Saturdays a month which involves tutorials and equipment touch time in a simulated manufacturing environment.
This course is developed in collaboration with our partners at TUD - Tallaght Campus and is supported as part of the Springboard initiative.
